Overlays A/B Testing now available!

Overlays are part of the Sailthru Onsite suite of website content and personalization solutions that help marketers connect with site visitors about deals, news, and unique sign-up opportunities for newsletters, memberships, and more. We’re proud to announce the latest feature addition: A/B Testing for Overlays! Marketers can easily test, optimize, and report on their Overlays tactics and onsite messaging strategy, all within the Sailthru platform. Sailthru knows that experimentation and optimization are a crucial part of the modern marketer’s job, and we’ve designed this new feature set to make it easier than ever to test ideas that engage website visitors and improve sign-up conversion.   Example of a Sailthru A/B Testing for Overlays analytics page with results. How it works We’ve upgraded the Overlays List page, implemented behind-the-scenes A/B testing infrastructure with a Bayesian inference calculation engine, and included an all-new analytics view of how the A/B Testing for Overlays is performing over time. As you, a Sailthru Overlays user, create an Overlay, you can decide to convert the overlay to an A/B test by clicking on the sub-menu in the upper right corner (Save > Enable A/B Test) and go from there. You can create up to 5 overlay variations, test content that you think might affect conversion, and launch your testing within that feature. Results start showing up after 24 hours and begin to fill in the chart with data as the inference calculations are processed. This new capability is available for all Sailthru Onsite customers who have the Sailthru JS code set up on their website(s) and are licensed for Overlays.
