Enhancement to select jobs increases consistency of user counts

On July 14, 2016 (approx. 5:30 p.m. EDT), we will patch an existing bug affecting user counts for a select number of jobs in the system. User counts will only be affected if they are part of the following job list and the respective profile uses a specific var value number (integer) type as noted below. The updated behavior for var evaluation will be:
  • profiles with numeric var values will not match against String list criteria values (var = 0.0, criteria = “0”)
  • profile vars with float var values will match against equivalent pipe delimited int criteria (var = 1.0, criteria = “1|2|3”)
The affected jobs are: list counts and generations (the counts of new lists), bulk updates, Facebook Custom Audience syncs and the list export job that exports all emails. While you may notice a one-time change in user counts after this release, this fix brings the aforementioned jobs to consistency with existing and accurate count behavior for our mailing system, Snapshot reports and our night list count update process.
